About – IIT Delhi Summer Internship 2026

Each year, our faculty members invest their time, effort & innovation in some great real-time projects. The projects are listed below. A student can apply for a max of 03 projects. Registration will start from 18th Feb 2026. The last date to apply will be 15th March 2026. The results will be up on the website by 15th April 2026 & the internship will commence from 11th May 2026.

Details Regarding IIT Delhi Summer Internship 2026

We are inviting students and researchers who are interested in contributing to the projects and research problems our team is currently working on. If you are passionate about this area of work and would like to be involved, please review the requirements and available positions listed in the table below.

If you find a project that matches your interests and skills, you may submit your application through the provided link starting 1st March 2026. Applicants will receive compensation based on their skills, expertise, and the time spent on the project.

Please note that candidates are allowed to apply for a maximum of three projects only.

Hostel details:-

You have to apply for a hostel at the time of applying for an internship as mentioned above.
To take possession, you are required to submit a copy of the proof of payment receipt to the Boys / Girls Hostel Caretaker on arrival or by mail.
The Hostel will be allotted from 07 May 2026 to 07 July 2026.
The students applying for the hostel should deposit the hostel fees by May 10th, 2026.

Room Allocation	A double room will be allotted only if both beds are occupied; otherwise, the student will be given a single room.
Hostel Room Charges	Single Room / Double Room: ₹5,000 per month (for May, June, July 2026).
Mess Charges	Charged on a daily basis at ₹130 per day.
Breakfast	₹35 per day
Lunch	₹50 per day
Dinner	₹45 per day
Mess Payment	Students must pay the vendor directly for each meal.
Hostel Registration	Students who wish to stay in the hostel must send an email to: admin-bh@iiitd.ac.in (Boys Hostel) or admin-gh@iiitd.ac.in (Girls Hostel).
COVID Guidelines	The COVID care committee will share guidelines. Students with a negative RT-PCR report (within 48 hours) can directly occupy the room; otherwise, they must stay in 7 days isolation (no extra charges except meal costs).
Payment Method (Online)	Fees can be paid through Internet Banking using the provided online payment link.
Payment Method (Demand Draft)	Students can submit a Demand Draft in favor of “IIIT Delhi Collections” at Room A-101, Accounts Section, First Floor, A-Wing, Academic Building.
