About – IIIT Allahabad Summer Internship 2026

The fast growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning (DL) has greatly impacted multiple industries such as computer vision, healthcare, finance, transportation, manufacturing, and education.
To fully utilize this transformation, it is important to provide students and young researchers with strong knowledge and practical skills in Deep Learning.
The Deep Learning Technology and Applications (DeLTA) Summer Internship and Project-Certificate Program is designed to connect theoretical learning with real-world implementation.
This intensive one-month program blends conceptual understanding with hands-on project experience, helping participants work on research, innovation, and entrepreneurial ideas in AI.
The DeLTA program focuses on developing future AI researchers and innovators by encouraging creativity, technical proficiency, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Through this initiative, participants will gain valuable practical exposure and also contribute to the growth of Deep Learning applications for both societal and industrial impact.

Objectives:-

Project Weekly Plan:-

Week 1	Project Idea Generation and Discussion	Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), reading research papers, identifying problems, and developing project ideas
Week 2	Project Framework Preparation	Dataset and model preparation, hyperparameter identification, and pilot training of the model
Week 3	Experiments & Results Analysis	Model training, evaluating results under different settings, and comparing outcomes
Week 4	Project Outcome Dissemination	Paper writing, patent drafting, prototype development, and startup roadmap planning

Expected Outcomes:-

At the end of the DeLTA program, participants are expected to achieve one or more of the following outcomes:

Research Publications: Drafting and submission of technical papers to top-rated conferences or journals.
Intellectual Property Creation: Filing of copyrights, patents, or software licenses.
Prototypes or Start-ups: Development of proof-of-concept systems with commercialization potential.
Skill Certification: Recognition of technical competence through a Certificate of Completion and Project Merit.
Collaborative Network: A community of innovators and researchers in Deep Learning.

Certification and Evaluation:-

Participants will receive a Certificate of Internship and Project Completion based on active participation and project evaluation by an expert panel. Top performers will get Special Recognition Awards and post-program mentorship opportunities. Excellence will be recognized in participants who lead to research papers, patents, or start-ups.

GPU-based computational infrastructure (local as per availability).
Learning materials, recorded sessions, and datasets from CVB Lab.
