The PM Internship Scheme 2026 (PMIS) is a flagship initiative by the Government of India designed to provide young individuals with real-world work experience in top companies across the country. The program typically offers a 12-month internship, where participants gain hands-on exposure in corporate and government environments. Interns receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 along with a one-time grant of ₹6,000 and insurance benefits. 

The scheme aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by helping youth develop practical skills, industry knowledge, and career readiness through structured training and workplace experience.
