An Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing operational structures, ensuring clean everyday operations. This role includes monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems, automating techniques, and implementing enhancements. Collaboration with pass-purposeful teams is key to improving performance, coping with resources, and making sure of the reliability of infrastructure and offerings.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management & Support: Support and control the Hyper-V and VMware infrastructure, which includes vSphere Suite, vCenter, ESXi, and different related technologies. 

Incident & Change Management: Provide advanced technical assistance for incident control, trade management, and trouble control strategies. This consists of managing escalated incidents, acting on root cause evaluation (RCA), and implementing effective answers to prevent recurrence.

Automation & Optimization: Develop and put in force automation solutions to enhance everyday operations, inclusive of developing PowerShell scripts to automate duties. 

Technical Documentation: Create and keep certain technical documentation such as RCA reports, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Knowledge Base (KB) articles. 

Capacity Planning & Performance Tuning: Optimize system ability, making sure the hardware and software assets are correctly allotted. Perform normal exams of the VMware and Hyper-V environments to make sure they are walking optimally.

Patch Management & Vulnerability Remediation: Develop and implement patch control policies and schedules. Ensure the well-timed deployment of patches and updates to address vulnerabilities in the Hyper-V and VMware environments.

Skills Required:

VMware vSphere Suite & VMware Aria Suite: Expertise in VMware vSphere Suite and VMware Aria Suite is vital. Proficiency in VMware technology including vCenter, ESXi, and VMware Tanzu may be extraordinarily useful.

Hyper-V Infrastructure: Solid experience with Hyper-V infrastructure control, consisting of its operational aid, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Windows Server Administration: Expertise in administering Windows Server running systems (variations 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022). Ability to put in, configure, and keep server roles and functions.

Automation & Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell to automate duties and streamline administrative methods. Experience in growing and preserving automation scripts to improve operational performance.

Networking & Security: A desirable understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and protection concepts as they relate to VMware and Hyper-V environments.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required. A B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization is mandatory. Candidates with a Postgraduate degree in any field are preferred.
• Experience:
  Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant domain, specifically working with VMware and Hyper-V environments. A strong background in infrastructure management, system administration, and operational support is required.
