About Program – IISER Bhopal Summer Internship Program 2026

IISER Bhopal invites applications from bright, motivated students interested in the basic sciences, engineering sciences, economic sciences, humanities, and Social Sciences for its summer research internship program. Selected candidates would participate in research carried out by IISER Bhopal faculty, through research/reading projects under their supervision. The portal will be open from March 11, 2026, to March 29, 2026.

Eligibility and Rules:-

Criteria	Details
Eligibility	Students currently studying in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of B.Sc / B.Tech / BS / BS-MS / B.E, or 1st year of M.Sc / M.Tech or equivalent program are eligible to apply.
Application Process	Candidates must complete the Online Internship Application Form. Any false information may lead to cancellation of the application or registration.
Project Selection	Students can apply for up to three projects.
Faculty Information	Applicants should check the faculty webpages on the institute’s website to learn more about their research areas before applying.
Important Note	Faculty members not listed on the available project list will not offer summer projects, so applicants should not contact them directly.
Internship Duration	The project will run for 4 to 8 weeks, scheduled between 25 May 2026 and 20 July 2026.

Selection Criteria:-

Candidates will be selected based on their academic performance and the write-up they submit.
The list of candidates selected for the summer internship will be displayed on the institute’s website by the fourth week of April.

Information	Details
Financial Support	No financial assistance will be provided to the interns.
Hostel Accommodation	Hostel accommodation will be available at a charge of ₹1500 per month.
Mess Charges	Mess charges will be based on actual rates and must be paid to the mess contractor (approximately ₹3700 per month).
Internship Certificate	The Faculty-in-charge will issue a certificate after successful completion of the internship and submission of the project report.

Technical Issues	For technical issues, candidates should contact webmaster@iiserb.ac.in and include relevant screenshots.
Faculty Contact	Applicants are advised not to contact faculty members about selection updates after submitting their applications.
