About the Programme –ISRO Summer Internship Programme 2026
  1. The applicant must be an Indian national. – ISRO Summer Internship Programme 2026 

  2. Only students who have completed or are currently pursuing programmes in Science or Technology disciplines relevant to DoS/ISRO activities will be eligible for consideration.

  3. The intake of interns may fluctuate depending on infrastructure and resource availability. VSSC holds the authority to approve or decline any application.

  4. Due to the high volume of internship applications, it may not be feasible to accommodate every candidate. Applicants are encouraged to explore alternative organisations in case their application is not shortlisted.

  5. A student is permitted to undertake only one internship per degree programme.

  6. Interns will be allowed to work only within the “Unclassified Areas of VSSC/ISRO”.

  7. To qualify, applicants must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale.

  8. The internship opportunity is open to students from recognized Universities/Institutions (India or abroad) who:

    i. Are enrolled in and pursuing regular on-campus programmes

    ii. Have completed their course as regular on-campus students within six months before the application window opens

  9. Internship opportunities are available for the following programmes:

  • B.Tech (Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Applied Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Material Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering, Production Engineering, and related disciplines)
  • BE (Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Applied Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Material Engineering, Polymer Science & Engineering, Production Engineering, and allied branches)

1️⃣ For BE / BTech / BSc / Diploma Students

Applicants are required to download the application form from the provided link.

The downloaded form must be:

  • Properly filled

  • Approved by the concerned authority

  • Sent to the email ID mentioned in the form before the deadline

Project Slot: 01 January – 31 March 2026 (Closed)

Next Project Slot: 01 April – 30 June 2026

Last Date for Application Submission: 15 February 2026


2️⃣ For ME / MTech / Integrated MTech / MSc / Integrated MSc / BS-MS

Project Slot: 01 January – 30 June 2026 (Closed)

Next Project Slot: 01 July – 31 December 2026

Online Application Window: 15 April – 15 May 2026

Applications for these courses must be submitted online during the specified window.

3️⃣ For PhD Applicants

PhD candidates must download the application form from the given link.

The form must be:

  • Duly filled

  • Approved

  • Sent to the email ID mentioned in the form


Important Note

Online application facility is available only for ME / MTech / MSc / Integrated ME/MTech / Integrated MSc / BS-MS candidates.

Applicants from other courses (BE / BTech / BSc / Diploma and PhD) must submit the completed downloaded form via the email ID specified in the form.
