1. Problem Management
Own the end-to-end problem management process.
Investigate recurring incidents and major P1/P2 incidents.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) reviews.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions have clear owners and deadlines.
Maintain the known error database and workaround library.
Drive permanent fixes for recurring technical failures.
Track chronic incidents and improvement progress.
Ensure lessons learned feed into change management and resilience planning.
2. IT Operational Risk Management
Maintain the IT operational risk register.
Identify, score and track risks across IT infrastructure areas.
Identify single points of failure and supplier concentration risks.
Review backup, failover, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.
Coordinate audit evidence and remediation.
Monitor risk treatment plans and follow up until closure.
Align relevant controls with ITIL 4, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, SOC 2 and PCI DSS expectations, as applicable.

Analyse incident, problem, change and performance data.

Maintain visibility of overdue actions and unresolved risks.
Present evidence-based recommendations to senior management.
5. Leadership and Vendor Management
Lead and develop a small analyst team.
Improve root cause analysis and risk management capabilities within infrastructure teams.
Work with telecom, network, systems and SOC tower owners.
Coordinate joint investigations with vendors.
Hold internal teams and external suppliers accountable for commitments.
Challenge weak analysis and ensure improvements are completed on schedule.
