Job Description:
As an Electrical Design Engineer at Tech Mahindra, you will be worried about designing and developing electrical systems and additives, ensuring they meet each overall performance and protection requirements. The function specializes in the advent and management of electrical design documentation and ensuring the exceptional reliability of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Create distinctive designs for Cable Harness Assemblies, including electrical interface schematics and interconnects. This involves running on electrical management panels, OEM power materials, safety circuits, and control circuits.
Component Selection: Select appropriate OEM elements for the designs, ensuring compatibility and overall performance.
Documentation: Prepare comprehensive drawings, engineering specification documents, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for Cable and Harness assemblies.
Standards Compliance: Ensure designs follow industry standards including UL508, CE, and IPC used within the electric and cable industries.
Automation: Apply expertise of various strategies for plant/technique automation inside the design and improvement tactics.
Collaboration: Work efficaciously with suppliers and carriers to resolve issues related to additives and designs.
Skills and Expertise Required:
Component Selection: Proficient in choosing electric additives for control panels, including circuit sizing, connectors, and cables tailor-made for harness assemblies based on application desires.
Design Tools: Hands-on enjoy with design equipment along with E3S or EPLAN for developing electric schematics, interconnects, and harness designs.
Standards Knowledge: Working information on diverse requirements used in the electrical and cable industries, inclusive of UL508, CE, and IPC.
Automation Understanding: Basic understanding of different methods of plant or method automation.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience in working with suppliers or carriers to cope with design troubles.
- Familiarity with Uni-Graphics and 3-D cable routing.
- Knowledge of Teamcenter Engineering PLM.
- Experience in Engineering Change Management environments.
- Experience running with North American businesses on engineering tasks.
Educational Qualifications:
Undergraduate: B.Tech/B.E. In Electrical Engineering or Electronics/Telecommunication.
Postgraduate (Optional): PG Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, MS/M.Sc. In Electronics & Embedded Technology, Electrical Engineering, or M.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication.
Doctorate (Optional): Ph.D. Or M.Phil. In Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication.
