We are looking for a skilled hardware engineer – power design to join Cisco’s Common Hardware Group (CHG) power team. It plays an important role in designing the power solution for a wide range of central team products, including Cisco 8000 series router, Catalyst 9000 switch, IOT equipment, and more. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as hardware design, test, signal integrity, ASIC, EMC/EMI, and Mechanical Design to provide new and reliable power solutions.
Your job will focus on designing, developing, and qualifying system power solutions that meet the high standards required for Cisco’s world-class networking products, including 10W IP phones to 3000W+ data center and service provider equipment. You will be responsible for planning, design reviews, attaching with vendors, and ensuring that power design meets quality, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Along with solving the issues related to the field, you also take the basic cause analysis and corrective action to continuously improve performance.
