Job Overview: Business Development Executive

HCL Tech TSS is hiring experienced professionals for the role of Cluster Lead – Education Sales under its flagship HCL TechBee Early Career Program. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in education sales, institutional partnerships, and stakeholder engagement. The position focuses on sourcing, counselling, onboarding, and managing candidates across assigned districts or clusters.

As a Cluster Lead, you will play a key role in expanding HCL TechBee’s reach by working closely with schools, colleges, government departments, NGOs, and parents. The job requires frequent field visits, relationship building, and execution of sourcing strategies to meet district and cluster onboarding targets.

This is a contract retainer (CR) role based out of Chennai or Pune, with a work-from-office setup and 6 working days per week. Candidates should be comfortable with extensive travel within the cluster region, as on-field visits are required 3–4 days a week. Travel expenses will be reimbursed as per company policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute sourcing activities across assigned districts or clusters
  • Develop leads and build strong networks with schools, colleges, NGOs, and institutions

  • Visit schools and junior/intermediate colleges for student sourcing and outreach
  • Counsel principals, students, parents, and stakeholders regarding the TechBee program
  • Schedule and conduct assessments, interviews, and Versant tests at the district level
  • Ensure timely onboarding and achievement of cluster-level targets
  • Organize workshops and awareness programs for principals, parents, and officials
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for candidate loan processing
  • Maintain accurate data, reports, and dashboards using internal monitoring tools
  • Participate in government and institutional events for outreach and branding
  • Travel extensively for awareness campaigns, NGO tie-ups, and assessments
  • Stay connected with candidates and parents from lead generation to training start
