Job Overview: Automation Analyst
As an Automation Analyst at Ericsson’s Gurgaon office, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions across various business functions.
The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and identify areas where automation can be implemented effectively. Develop strategies and roadmaps for automation initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Automation Solution Design: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using industry-standard tools and methodologies. Create workflows, scripts, and applications to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operations.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Recommend and implement process improvements using automation technologies to optimize workflows and enhance productivity.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated with emerging automation technologies, tools, and best practices. Leverage technical expertise to evaluate, select, and integrate automation tools that best suit the organization’s needs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and business units to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful implementation of automation solutions. Communicate effectively to stakeholders about project progress and benefits achieved through automation.
- Testing and Maintenance: Conduct testing and quality assurance procedures for automation solutions to ensure reliability, accuracy, and scalability. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed automation systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation including process maps, technical specifications, and user guides. Generate reports and metrics to track the performance and impact of automation initiatives.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of automation tools and technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), workflow automation platforms, and familiarity with relevant software development methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex processes, identify inefficiencies, and recognize opportunities for automation. Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in implementing automated solutions.
- Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in coding and scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Java, or others, enabling the development of automated workflows and scripts.
- Process Understanding: A deep understanding of business processes across various functions to effectively design and implement automation solutions that streamline operations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams, understand requirements, and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in automation, scripting, programming, or software development.
- Proficiency in automation tools and technologies such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation), scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), workflow automation platforms, etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex processes and identify automation opportunities.
