Program Purpose

Cisco Virtual Internship Programme 2026, As part of a continued focus on skill development and strengthening India’s role as a global digital talent hub, Cisco in partnership with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has introduced the latest phase of its internship initiative. This program provides virtual internship opportunities in Networking, Cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence through the Cisco Networking Academy and its partner institutions. This joint effort between industry and government aims to develop a skilled workforce for the technology sector, supporting India’s digital transformation mission.

Objective & Impact

The initiative is designed to offer meaningful learning experiences and hands-on exposure to students within the academic ecosystem. It helps improve employability by equipping participants with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills, while also contributing to the overall growth and advancement of the technology sector in India.

Eligibility

Cisco Virtual Internship Programme 2026, Students studying in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of engineering, technical, or non-technical degree/diploma programs from institutes associated with Cisco Networking Academy are eligible. Institutions not yet affiliated can apply to become part of NetAcad.

Registration Process

Interested candidates must register through the AICTE Internship Portal and then enroll in the required courses. Students can connect with their NetAcad instructor and access learning modules via netacad.com.

Course Completion

Participants must complete all assigned courses and submit proof of completion along with links to their earned digital badges as evidence of progress.

Industry Session

Shortlisted students will get a chance to attend exclusive Cisco sessions where industry experts will mentor them. Under instructor guidance, they will work on assigned real-world problem statements.

Project Submission

After completing the project work, students are required to take a final assessment/quiz as part of the evaluation process.

Certificate

Students who successfully meet all program requirements will be awarded an official virtual internship certificate.

• The program is designed for motivated learners who show initiative and interest in emerging technologies.

• Open to students in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of a technical degree program; final-year students are not eligible.

• Candidates must be enrolled in institutions affiliated with the Cisco Networking Academy.

• Students from any academic stream can apply if they have a basic interest in technical domains.

• Full availability for the entire 8-week duration is required.

• Interns will follow a structured curriculum created by industry experts.

• All assigned modules on the Cisco platform must be completed successfully.

• Participants must earn and submit Digital Badges as proof of learning.

• Students will attend industry sessions and webinars led by Cisco professionals.

• Interns will work on real-world problem statements under mentor guidance.

• A final project must be developed and submitted as part of the program.
