ShipBob Merchant Specialist Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchant Specialist to join our dynamic team at ShipBob.
The Merchant Specialist will serve as a liaison between our company and our valued clients, ensuring seamless communication, exceptional service, and effective problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met efficiently.
- Communicate proactively with clients to understand their concerns, provide support, and offer solutions to enhance their fulfillment experience.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to address client issues promptly and ensure resolutions are implemented effectively.
2. Onboarding and Training:
- Guide new clients through the onboarding process, explaining ShipBob’s services, systems, and procedures to ensure a smooth transition.
- Provide comprehensive training sessions to clients on how to use ShipBob’s technology platform effectively.
3. Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
- Analyze client data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to clients to optimize their fulfillment strategies and improve operational efficiency.
4. Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve client concerns, complaints, or issues related to fulfillment, shipping, inventory, or technology promptly and effectively.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, tools, and systems to improve overall client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and strategies that benefit both ShipBob and its clients.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, issues, resolutions, and feedback for future reference and reporting purposes.
- Generate reports and presentations as needed to communicate performance metrics and client feedback.
Qualifications:
1. Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in customer service, account management, or client-facing roles within the logistics, e-commerce, or fulfillment industry preferred.
- Familiarity with fulfillment operations, e-commerce platforms, and inventory management systems is advantageous.
2. Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using technology platforms and software for communication and data analysis.
