Minimum Qualifications for Power Design Engineer:-
- – Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related fields.
- – Create power specifications for Qualcomm DSP IPs based on design specifications.
- – Develop power intent using UPF for DSP IPs according to power specifications.
- – Validate power intent at RTL and gate levels, including synthesis and power domain checks.
- – Address issues related to power intent based on PA DV feedback.
- – Debug problems associated with MV cell insertion during synthesis and adjust UPF accordingly.
- – Project dynamic and leakage power of DSP IPs at project initiation and monitor throughout the implementation flow.
- – Generate dynamic and leakage power numbers using tools like PTPX and track against targets.
- – Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as SOC and Sub-System for smooth power intent handoff and project execution.
Skillset looking for:-
- – Hands-on experience in crafting UPF based on complex power specifications for blocks/SOCs.
- – Proficient in validating power intent using CLP for accuracy and reliability.
- – Skilled in power analysis using PTPX to ensure precise power projections.
- – Understanding of MV cell insertion issues during synthesis and strategies for optimization.
- – Competent in optimizing dynamic and leakage power throughout RTL development and physical implementation.
- – Knowledgeable about power correlation between Pre-Si and Post-Si stages.
- – Proficiency in automation tools like TCL and Perl for streamlining processes.
- – Effective communication skills to facilitate collaboration across teams.
