Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Accounting Operations
- Preparation and processing of complex General Ledger journals, accruals, provisions, allocations, and adjustments
- Initiation of accounting entries for non-standard events based on accounting policies and manuals
- Processing fixed asset-related accounting entries as per agreed schedules and procedures
Fixed Assets & Treasury Activities
- Monitoring fixed asset transactions and budgets
- Coordinating with asset owners for capitalization activities
- Initiation and monitoring of automated transactions such as depreciation and FX valuation
Bank & Intercompany Accounting
- Daily processing of bank statements and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Monitoring and clearing of sub-bank accounts
- Reconciliation of intercompany transactions and agreement of balances with counterparties
- Execution of intercompany netting and settlements
Period End Close & Reporting
- Preparation and execution of period-end close activities as per defined timelines
- Monitoring close progress and escalating issues when required
- Interaction with client Finance Controllers and Process Owners to ensure timely closure
- Preparation and review of financial, management, and treasury reports
Reconciliations & Controls
- Reconciliation of low to medium-risk balance sheet accounts
- Review and approval of low-risk account reconciliations
- Execution, monitoring, and testing of financial controls as per client frameworks
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Preparation of statutory and tax reporting data
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Supporting process improvements, automation initiatives, and innovation in finance operations
