📋 How to Apply for PRL Project Training?

The application process involves several stages.

Step 1: Check the Project List

Students should first check the projects listed on the PRL website. Applications are considered only for projects showing “OPEN” status.

Step 2: Contact the Project Supervisor

Students can send their CV/resume to the prospective project supervisor, discuss the project and seek the supervisor’s consent.

An important rule is that students should approach only one supervisor at a time. If there is no response, the student should wait three working days before contacting another supervisor.

Step 3: Obtain Supervisor Consent

If the supervisor recommends the student, the recommendation is forwarded to the Dean’s office. The recommended student then receives an online form for the formal application process.

Step 4: Upload Required Documents

The formal online application requires:

  1. NOC-cum-Recommendation Letter from the HoD/Dean/Principal or Training & Placement Officer
  2. Undertaking Form signed by the student and relevant college authorities
  3. Consent from the PRL Project Supervisor in the prescribed format

Step 5: Final Approval

After submission and scrutiny of the form and documents, formal approval is communicated to selected students through the Dean’s office.

📅 PRL Project Training Application 2026

The applications are open throughout the year, according to the official PRL website. However, students should apply only after identifying an appropriate project with OPEN status and obtaining the required supervisor consent.

📜 Certificate After Training

A certificate is issued after completion of the training, subject to the student giving a final seminar at PRL and receiving endorsement from the project supervisor. The PRL evaluation does not replace the student’s college/university assessment requirements.

⚠️ Important Rules

Students should keep these points in mind:

  • The project must be part of the academic curriculum.
  • Only final-year bonafide full-time students are eligible.
  • Minimum First Class is required from HSC onwards.
